If you have to travel, travel but with utmost care |
We have been confined to our homes since March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and by now we have learned to live our lives according to the ‘new normal’. However, in the last 7-8 months, people could not travel as a precautionary measure. Physical distancing and isolation have been vital in prevention from the virus, but now people have started to make plans on traveling for various purposes. That being said, it will be even more important to take precautions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.Below are some precautions to follow if you are planning to travel so that you and others do not contract the virus: |
For basics, wear a face mask or shield while traveling, maintain hand hygiene and maintain a six-feet distance from others.Air travel: Maintain distance at security checks, airport terminals, and conveyor belts. |
Bus or train travel: Avoid touching surfaces, maintain distance from other passengers by skipping seats. Take home-cooked food along, if possible.Car travel: After making halts for food, fuel, and toilet, always ensure hand hygiene before resuming your drive. Take home-cooked food along, if possible. |
After traveling, stay indoors as much as possible for at least 14 days. You might not show symptoms of COVID-19 but there could be a possibility of you contracting the virus while traveling, which could make you contagious. |
Happy traveling ????????
