One of our preferred issues about this time of year is the beauty of Autumn leaves and all of the entertaining and stunning crafts you can make with them.
Here’s a swift and straightforward suncatcher you can make with the autumn leaves about you. Or, if you do not have autumn leaves exactly where you live, flower petals or green foliage work as nicely.
Just searching at this leaf you can see why they work so nicely for nature suncatchers, proper?
This activity is straightforward sufficient for the youngest toddlers (even though they could invest as a lot time taking the leaves back off as they do placing them on) and beautiful sufficient that you could want to make your personal.
Autumn Leaf Suncatchers
Components
Time necessary: 30 minutes.
Directions
- Prep your make contact with paper
Cut off a rectangular piece of make contact with paper. Fold it in half, then pull the paper covering off to the fold, exposing half of the sticky plastic.
- Add your leaves
Arrange your autumn leaves on the sticky make contact with paper and press to adhere.
If preferred, use your hole punch to reduce out heart (or other) shapes from leaves and add these to the suncatcher as nicely.
- Fold more than your make contact with paper
When you are happy with your style, take away the rest of the paper backing from the make contact with paper.
Carefully fold it more than the leaves, sandwiching them in involving the two layers of plastic, and press down with your hands, avoiding air bubbles if doable.

You can tape your suncatchers to the window or punch holes in the top rated and add a ribbon for hanging.
A note about the leaves : The fresh autumn leaves are stunning, vibrant, and complete of colour which is a single of the factors we like to use them for these nature suncatchers just about every year (rather than pressed and dried autumn leaves). However, please note that they will shed some of their colour more than time and decay. Ours are normally enjoyed for about two weeks ahead of we take them down.
